Ecuador Team Updates
Monday, November 15, update: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the team met with Sífrido and his family, they shared the Gospel and studied the Word of God with them! He still has the audio Bible we gave him. The local church they attend doesn't teach the Word with Truth.
They also had a meal with Catalino, his wife Daisy, and their family and his neighbors. There were about 15 plus a lot of kids! They shared the hope of Jesus with them and laughed and enjoyed the evening. Catalino invited them team back for dinner on Saturday. At dinner on Saturday the team shared the Gospel and Catalina trusted in Jesus as his Savior! (Pictured below with Tony, Nicole and Pao the team interpreter.)

Today the team is driving back to Quito and will fly out to Atlanta at midnight. Tuesday the team will land in Atlanta at 6am then wait to fly to Springfield at 4pm.

Yesterday the team spent a lot of time with a family, and ministered to them. The classes went well too. Today, Friday, November 12, the classes will resume in the morning and afternoon. Also, Tony and Michael Effland will meet with the mayor and city officials for lunch. Then tonight, the team will have dinner with another family. Relational discipleship is the purpose of these lunches and dinners. Pray for these families, that they will hear the gospel and trust in Jesus.
Today, Thursday, November 11. The team has a morning class and an afternoon class. These are open to the community, one is business and the other is small engine repair. The purpose is to grow relationships with the local officials and residents. Establishing some common ground, but the gospel will be present in the teaching. During the classes the rest of the team will be going out from home to home greeting and talking with neighbors and sharing scripture and the gospel. This will be a day full of hearing about the lives of the Afro Ecuadorians and telling them about Jesus, His grace, His love, His salvation.
